94 honda accord crabks but wont start?!? HELP!!
When I first purchased my car, sometimes it woumd have a hard time starting, and ended up being the ecu. Never gave problems again until now. My car has been sitting for about 6-8 months. Before parking it for these past months, it would intermittently have starting problems but it would always start after a few tries. Now, it won't start at all. The crazy thing is, after I changed the following parts: added fuel (it was empty), battery (it was completely dead), main relay, fuel pump (it wasn't turning on), altenator (wasn't charging the battery), computer and fuel filter, after changing each individually at separate times, the car started right up but then after a few hours I'd go to start it again and nothing? I left it running once for a good twenty minutes, gassed it, and it ran perfect. No problems. But then when back after a few hours and same problem...wont start? Sometimes it sounds like its going to crank over but then it'll start for a brief second and then start bogging out (sputtering) and then dies. We tried putting starting fluid into the intake and same thing. It might start but only for a split second before dying out. Anyone know whats going on??
When a car sits for a bit, sometimes the wiring gets sketchy, have you carefully gone over things like the connections and re-plugged everything in to make sure they are solid?
Just guessing, since it sorta sounds like the ECU again, but it could be just loose/weird connections from sitting too long.
You could go and double check your grounds all around and see if there's anything with that as well. I recently had a ground wire that I found had come loose for no apparent reason except time (probably hadn't been tightened down in 20 years).

Hey thanks for the reply! I'm almost 200% confident that its the ecu because I put another one in (for a standard and mines is automatic) and it started right up but ran shitty. What do you think? We checked the wires....kind of lol.
