Default Accord H22 swap

What’s up, looking forward to being a member of Honda-Tech. I’ve been into Honda tuning for about 5 years and turning wrenches for 25. What really turned my interest to import tuning was the amount of power that was being pulled out of 4 cylinder engines. My current build is a 1995 Honda Accord. Someone gave me $100 to drive it off their property so I drove it home. It was pretty clean. It looked like it had water damage or something. The inside was all moldy and smelled like dead fingers. I basically rebuilt the hole thing minus some interior items. I threw some bolt ons on the engine, lowered the suspension on coils, and rebuilt the f22b1. DId some light head work, short ram intake, header and I fabricated my own 2.5” exhaust. Honestly I was totally sold when it wasn’t done. I put $1000 system in it and pulled it all off for about $3000-3500. Drove it for about two years and decided to do a motor swap. I purchased a jdm H22 from a guy for a couple hundred bucks and started doin some research. I thought I was gonna have a meltdown trying to design this motor build. Most of what I learned I got from Honda-tech. So I kinda feel like the H22 swap is a little played out as far as the amount of builds already out there. On the plus side it’s a solid motor that can turn out some real HP and still maintain some integrity. I’m in the planning phase of the build and still working out the details. I feel like a built turbo build is where I’m at simply because of the amount of HP from a turbo set up. Not necessarily the cheapest route but for real numbers it makes the most sense. Right now I’m planning out the bottom end and looking for a reliable machine shop in the Pacific Northwest. Specifically in Central or Southern Oregon or Nothern Cali. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Overall I’m looking to build out something that’s different in its own way using a tried and tested platform, the H22. I hope to meet a few people who share my enthusiasm for Honda building.
