Default CD-changer in '94 Civic hatchback

Hey everyone, I was thinking about putting a CD changer in my Si Hatchback. But, now I have to figure out where to put it. Its not like the coupe where I could mount it suspended behind the trunk lid. And I don't think there would be enough room underneath the seats. Any suggestions?

Also, what are the dimensions of the stock speakers in the car?

depends on the type of cd changer you ant. alpine makes a nice small 6 disk that can go almost anywhere. nakamichi makes a cd changer that can fit into a din opening and is rf controlled.

Well, I'm looking at an entire Sony Xplod system including the cd-changer. However, I'm open to looking at different cd-changers. I do not want an RF changer though, simply because they come with a separate remote that you HAVE to use with it. I want to use the built in changer controls. Essentially I want to know if there is a good place to safely mount something like a 10 disc changer in the hatch of the car. Although I would be happy to put a changer underneath my seat if I felt there was enough room (which I highly doubt).

some people put their changers in their glove compartment.... its looks clean, and its practical. i dont know if there is enough room under your seats. i think the glove compartment is best if there is nothing there

It does not matter which changer you use. All decent changers made today will basically mount anywhere, as long as you mount it to a solid surface so it will not flop around and set the verticle/horizontile switch it will be ok anywhere inside the car. If you are concerned about space the alpine 6disc changer will mount to the bottom side of the pass seat. This also keeps it concealed and allowes easy access from the front of the seat. Also if you still have stock radio and would like to keep it you can get a Blitz adapator and hook the alpine 6d up to factory radio, no RF boxes or extra controlls needed. Have any Q's e-mail me
