Product Feedback Request: "ITM" pistons & their components
I tried to find the answer elsewhere but could not, I'm sorry if this is basic or repetitive but here we go....
Rebuilding a stock B18B1 that has never been bored. The cylinder walls are scratched pretty good. I'm ready to bring the block to a machinist BUT I cannot find OEM piston in 81.25mm. Only sizes available are std 81 & 81.5. So, are "ITM Engine Components" pistons and rings any good? Will they last 200k+ miles on a daily driven commuter?? Will be an all motor non-Vtec LS. Thanks in advance for the help.

~100k on an 84.5 set of RS Machines here, in a non-v B20z. No issues. I’m really detailed with maintenance and am generally really careful with the thing but I don’t hesitate to rip on in and it gets a few canyon runs a year. Zero piston issues that I’m aware of.
"Rock Auto" has ITM Engine Comp. piston/ring sets for a nice price but is that reliable? I'd be on top of all maintenance, for sure!
I don’t know anything about that like of pistons. Sorry, your thread title says “itr” and I missed the reference to ITM in your post.

RS Machine produces a quality OE replacement type piston. Going for the cheapest product you can find online is never the best idea.
