Default Reasonable mechanic needed in Tri State

Hi,
I live in Arizona where Arizona, California, and Nevada come together. Just across the Colorado River from Laughlin Nevada and about 100 miles from Las Vegas. So I'm not really in California, but I did not see a listing for the Western States, as such I'm posting in Southern California. Should there be a more appropriate forum please let me know!

I'm looking for a good mechanic in this area.

They seem to be hard to find in this area. Yes, we have a lot of shops. I don't know how good or bad they all are. I just know most of the ones I have used are not so great.

I had one guy that was great, but he past away. I used him for ten years with my other cars.

Then whent though 4 really bad ones before finding a great one that worked out if his house. But he got hurt and had to shut down.

I have talked by phone to about 6 others in this area. Told them what I needed (complete timing belt job, new master cylinder, and A/C recharge) asked what they most likely would charge for the parts and what they expect the labor to be (I made it clear that I know the job could be more once the work is being done). They were supposed to call me back. Never heard from them. Even made a reminder call.

I figure if you can't call a customer back on what could be a sure bett on a decent job, then your not going to be reliable.

So anyone know a reliable guy or gal that knows their stuff?

As always I thank all of you.

If needed I have a 1991 Honda Accord LX.
