Default Prelude Boosting

Hi Guys my name is Mike and I was just given a 98 prelude 5 speed. The car needs serious work. I have a t3/t4 turbo kit I plan to install. My first of many questions is if I run 5 psi boost are stock injectors OK to run?

No. Bigger injectors, fuel pump and a tune by a professional are required.

Do some searching on here or google. There's a library worth of information out there about turbo H22s and Preludes.

Assuming your going to run about 47PSI of fuel pressure, (OEM fuel pressure range is 47-53PSI) and your going to make about 300-350hp @ the crank & run the injectors @ 80-85% duty cycle, your going to need 550cc to 650cc injectors. Personally I'd go with a 750cc set, you can always run them @ a lower duty cycle (set when tuning), which is better anyway but you can't get an injector that is too small to flow more fuel. What you don't want is a lean condition from them being too small or failing due to running @ too high a duty cycle. So go with 750cc if you plan on staying under 400 flywheel hp.

Stock injectors are 290cc, Saturated type that run @ 47-54PSI fuel pressure. I'm not sure on the duty cycle that the stock injectors run at, maybe 65%? Either way the stock injectors are not good for anymore than what the motor makes stock, at least not much more (20-30hp would be my guess and that's stressing them @ a higher duty cycle)
