Default will a 2005 manual 6 speed fit a 2004 type s

need help so hard to find a transmission previous owner put a 5 speed base manual in and i got suckered. will a 2005 type s manual 6 speed fit a 2004 type s or is their a swappable fit in trans that will work? thank you

Mechanically it fits... electronically it doesn't. You will have to convert the high frequency VSS to the low frequency VSS type that the 2004 RSX understands... otherwise, you have no VTEC and the speedo acts crazy.

No speed sensor on the clutch case , you dont want that.
