ok yo so i think ive got this all figured out, but just checking before i screw something up, and maybe someone on here will be helped by this

*disclaimer* before y’all get on my about wasting time on a b7, am building a turbo zc/y8 this is just a temporary thing cause i already has the parts and it’s fun yeah

ok so afaik the zc cam that i have (d16a6) is 4.75* retarded.

most people use the y8/y7 gear to make it back to normal, but i’ve been running my b7 with the cam advanced ~5-6* with my adjustable and i kind of like the way it runs.

sooo if i am correct, using the b7/a6 gear on the a6 cam will land me at 4.75* retarded which is half a tooth, so if i advance the gear a whole tooth i’ll be 4.75* advanced? right?

i need the adjustable for my zc build so just tryna stick with the oem gears. i got a y7, and 2 a6/b7 gears.

If memory serves, it depends on the year A6 cam you have. I don't recall but one of the years wasn't off at all and the other was. I think this was regarding the 88-91 D16A6 though, not the ZC which may have a totally different set of specifications.
