Eagle rod bolts needing resizing in a b18c1?

Default Eagle rod bolts needing resizing in a b18c1?

hi i was woundering. Im building a na gsr and using a set of eagle rods with a arp 2000 rod bolt and was woundering if these need to be resized after torqued or do these get resized at the factory. Thanks in advance

the big end when you torque down the rod bolts incase they distort like a stock rod when you use arp bolts. Sorry if this is a dumb ? Its just ive never used after market rods on a build ive only used stock rods with arp rod bolts and wanna make sure befor putting it together

It's a good idea to measure any parts going into an engine.

I had my Eagle rods resized, they weren't perfectly round.



What other machine work are you looking at getting done?

In theory, a brand new set of Eagle rods with ARP 2000 bolts should not need to be resized. If by chance, you begin to fit bearings into them and torque them down to the crankshaft and you notice uneven oil clearance or or other indications that they are not properly machined, then you may have to "fix" them.

I have ls eagle rods w/ 2000 arp rod bolts in my gsr and measured the clearances with plastigauge and all measure perfectly in the green with acl standards.

Did you use a LS crankshaft in the GSR block ?
