06 Accord alarm keeps going off.
Hello i have a 06 Accord and while sitting in it the alarm keeps going off. And it takes forever to get it to go off. I cant find a alarm fuse or relay anywhere. And of course my horn fuse has the brake lights on it also. Is there a way i can disable it? And the vsa light keeps coming on to. I dont know if they are related or not.
I wanted to add that it does it when i crank the car. And wont stop until i take the key out. It does it 1 time to every 3 or 4 cranks. I also took out the screw in the door well for the door when its opened. I cant stand hearing that when the key is in. I had a 03 civic i did that to and had no problems. Could that have anything to do with it?

Yea its stock alarm. The sound is the horn. It like to do it when i start the car. Thats the only time it has ever done it. I will check that hood latch. Thanks
Theres gotta be a dedicated alarm controller or module somewhere under the dash. I don't know where it is or what it looks like but you could try pulling out the wiring connector to it and see if the car functions normally. IF not then simply plug it back in.
The factory security system is part of the multiplex integrated control system. You can't just unplug a module in the CAN bus and expect other circuits that are also part of the multiplex system to still function.
First thing to do is to have the car battery checked, a weak battery can cause issues with the multiplex system.
After the security system is armed, it is disarmed either with the remote transmitter or inserting the key in the driver's door to unlock. The driver's door multiplex control unit (MCU) (part of the master door lock/window switch) would send a signal to the MICU (integrated as part of the under-dash fuse/relay box).
It sounds like the security system may have disarmed and re-armed, or never disarmed after you entered the car. When you insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to the ON position, the door MCU also transmit a door switch signal through the multiplex integrated control system (MICU, relay control module, gauge control module), as part of a communication circuit test. -- If your problems isn't due to a weak car battery, there is an issue with the multiplex system.

Ok so i wanted to give a update on this issue. On my 03 civic i could remove the button from the door to stop the annoying beeping while the door is open and the key is in the ignition. I had no problems doing it on that car. But this 06 accord doesnt like that. Thats why it was doing that. Thanks for all the info. User related problem this time 😆
I've got the 2004 Accord EX... factory alarm randomly goes off. I disabled the hood sensor, which seems to be a common problem... but did not solve teh problem.
I have found some questionable youtube videos... can, or cannot the alarm be disabled? One local honda dealership says "yes" for $150, the other says NO...

A code reader will not tell anything regarding the security system. HDS (Honda Diagnostic System) can be used to check the history data of the security system to see which sensor was actuated or not.
