Icon5 Parking brake light

Sometimes my parking brake light stays on after release. I like to use it every time I park so my car doesn't rock. Any idea what's causing this?

Thanks

You didn't indicate what year and model vehicle. But, on certain models, there is also a brake fluid level level switch that will also cause the same brake indicator light to stay on.

Check the brake fluid level.

Thanks Tech8, I will check the brake fluid. The brake pads seem fine although I don't think I've ever changed the ebrake.

It's a 1993 Honda del Sol S

if the brake fluid is at normal level, check e-brake handle. It may need adjustment under the lever/handle.
