I don't have a functioning HDS as of yet and I need to perform a test which requires that I jump the SCS line. I do have this device (which came with my Honda HIM device) which plugs into the OBDII port. Is this the SCS Service Connector? The HIM packaging/seller calls this device the "Self Test Adapter" and I just want to know if that is synonymous with "SCS Service Connector". Here are a couple of photos:
Sorry, I don't know how to make the photos a bit smaller and side by side as well like I can on other forums.
Re: SCS Service Connector for HDS / HIM. Is this it?
it might be....
The SCS is just pins 4 and 9 shorted on the OBD port. You can do this with a paperclip. If you have a multimeter check that the pins are shorted on your dongle there.

Thanks. I knew that 4 and 9 were shorted and that I could do it with my own wire or even a paper clip, as you said, however the concern was if a paper clip or other jumper fell out of the sockets while I was working on the system, then damage could occur. An actual tool designed for the purpose would give more peace of mind.

Duh, I didn't even think of that! Thanks for pointing out the obvious, which wasn't so obvious to me. I just checked, and yep, this dongle device is indeed the SCS connector. I got continuity with #4 and #9.
