Default Assistance needed: what cams to use for a B20 VTEC? No purpose stated

This car is going to be street driven and occasionally tracked.

Doing a full build, upgrading ALL internals, compression should hopefully be somewhere around 11.5, using Ferrea 5000 flat head valves as well and porting b16 head, have skunk2 pro intake mani, not sure what exhaust mani I will be running but thinking something that is a 4-2-1. Have skunk2 pro cam gears and supertech valve springs

so originally I was going to go with buddy club spec 3 camshafts but they're really hard to find.
Was now looking into skunk2 tuner stage 3 or pro stage 3, can anyone tell me their experience with them or offer a better suggestion?

After more midrange power because I know I won't be using top end much

Thanks guys

The larger Pro 3 and stage 3 camshafts are really overdoing it for what the engine can handle based upon the components that you've listed. The best thing that you want to do is to be able to at least give a purpose for the car, as well as what type of fuel you plan to run. Knowing that will help you understand which camshaft you want to stay with in terms of the limits of duration and lift.

finding camshaft like Buddy Club is going to be more difficult due to the fire restrictions on distribution of Japanese Goods into the US. They are not made in the United States at all, so looking for a used set might be in your cards. In addition, Skunk2 Pro 1 series camshafts are good from about 200-220whp. Anything more, and you need to change displacement as well as exhaust manifold, much higher compression and head flow CFM.

from the way that you're describing things, using something as aggressive as a Pro 3 just isn't necessary at all. A pro one can do just well, but be prepared to degree the camshaft to your individual motor. They're wonderful cams with a larger set of primaries to help with up front torque and lower RPM range. If you like big giant VTEC crossover sound, (although it does not change any power levels) the Tuner 2 maybe also something you may want to consider.

I gave a purpose, street driven and occasionally tracked and I want to maximise mid range power and torque, so I didn't think a peak HP number mattered. Not sure if the fuel is different but I was planning on running 98 octane pump gas
Only listed a few of the more important components but like I said it's a fully built motor, besides adding a girdle or block guard. Also I'm not in the US, I'm in Aus but that would explain why there's not many places that sell them online.

Are there any other brands that aren't super expensive (can't afford Jun or anything) but are still good when it comes to camshafts? Especially something that will do more midrange than high rpm power

Not that I would trust in my engine. You want to play, you gotta pay. Again, the Pro3 would be a be a bad idea. Stay with a Pro1 pte at most a Pro 2.
