Looking to paint my civic pretty soon but 2 of my doors are smashed up pretty good so im just going to replace them before the job. Mine is a DX with crank windows and all the parts cars I find around here have power windows. If I buy the doors off an LX or EX sedan can I just take the guts out of mine and put it into the new door? I assume I could but I just want to ask before I assume incorrectly and waste money on doors.

 

I would check the OEM parts sites and see if the door shell is the same part between an LX sedan and the EX sedan.

I am pretty sure the same brackets connecting points are there so should work, but that may help confirm that.

Not sure if they list a door shell without the internals.....

The other way to see is to take photo's of all the connection points inside your door and then hit a salvage yard and check the internals of the door shell on a power door. If the bolt/screw holes are all there in the right spots as your photo's then you can be pretty confident.

 

That seems like the plan, I actually have access to an LX parts car don’t know if the doors are in good condition but it’s good enough for me to check out mounting points. Just figured if I could get the easy answer off someone who knows already itd save me the time of taking my door apart on my daily driver lol
