Default Please Help me! Auto to Manual swapped 92 LX won't start with key.

Ive tried everything and I keep running into a stump. I have a 92 civic LX Ive had since my high school days. Well had it sitting at my dads and his mechanic did a auto to manual swap it works great drives fine. But we just simply cant get it to start with the key. I can jump my starter and it will start up no issues. Just cant get it to crank with the key. New battery, new starter both tested and they work. Main relay works I can hear fuel pump prime. No CEL. I was looking around seeing if I can maybe see anything loose or disconnected and found this with a looped plug. Any idea on how I can get this figured out or what this thing even does! Im open to anything Im out of ideas on why it wont start.

One part of the automatic harness is the key lockout solenoid. On an automatic, you are not supposed to be able to pull the key out of the ignitions when the car is not in park (or neutral?).

It's possible the loop is to keep the key from being locked in the ignition.

I'm not as familiar with automatics as most of my harness work has been on manual civics of this generation but that would be my guess as to why a loop onto itself.

I also see a cut white wire on the plug in your hand, off the top of my head, all the white wires were ignition related in the main harness..... I'd be investigating that white wire.

Do you know where the plug was plugged into or did it only have that one wire loop plugged into it?

Can you name all the wire colors in the plug for me? I'll look at my ETM tomorrow and see if I can match it up for you.

Are you sure none of the wires are striped like Blue/White or Pink/Yellow. Most honda wires are striped (two colors).

Can you show the face of the plug? Can't tell how many pin.

I also think this may be for an after market alarm. I am unable to find anything like it for stock harness plugs on the 92-95 series. No purple wire either.

Here are some more pictures including the jump plug which as you can see is connecting blue/purple together?

Here is my fusebox under the driver side dash. Hopefully everything here looks correct. The 2 red wires going to the green plug is not looking from factory but I could be wrong.

I wish I could as that guy is back in Mexico and no where to be heard from. Might end up taking it to a shop that can run down this wiring. Im not capable of wiring issues :/

*****UPDATE******
So today I was looking up wire diagrams and how people wire in alarm system! Guess what! It was all tied into the ignition system wiring so I pulled out the alarm harness, unspliced and fixed every wire they cut and Bam! Car fired up!! Thank you guys so much for your help and ideas! Couldnt have done it without you guys!.

Here’s that ugly Mexican made alarm harness!

That's exactly what I figured, that it was an alarm system wiring. Brain may have been pulled so the fix was to loop on of the wires even though it still made the key not work.

Glad you got it dialed.

glad you got it figured out. For future references, Honda/Acura cars do not use that type of connector. That was a dead giveaway it's aftermarket.
