99 Civic EX P0420 and P1399 misfires. Hi I'm new to the site. My Civic is throwing these codes I think maybe o2 sensor or bad catalytic converter. Idk any ideas tips I could really use it. Thanks Friends. Civicbill99.

 

Check your ignition coil inside the distributor!

 

ok I had another mechanic suggest that.

 

So u think it's the ignition coil and not a clogged catalytic converter or exhaust manifold? I've heard they can rust out and get covered in oil the ignition coil and distributor. I have ngk iridium plugs new I put in. I want to save this Civic from a junkyard fate and make it fast.

 

I will check it out tomorrow and record the video to show you how it looks.
