EK4 Sedan - Front Door Lock Actuator Question
Hello everyone, I have a technical question regarding the front driver side lock actuator for my EK4 1998 Sedan Civic, this is a JDM model and it seems there is a difference with the USDM model, the part numbers differ but most importantly what differs is the plug and the wires coming out from the actuator.
The USDM model seems to have 4 wires coming from the motor sorted in a 1 row 4 pin connector
The one that my car has is 5 wire sorted in a 2 row 4 pin connector (3 pins are blank).
Would like to know if someone knows what is the difference and what exactly that extra wire would do, I can purchase the USDM version and just re-pin as needed, but wanted some feedback first.
My car has central locking with remote control (but no alarm) from factory, so maybe is related to this.
USMD Part No: 72155-S04-A02 / JDM Part No: 72155-S04-J12
Lastly but not least, anyone has experience with the cheap ~15usd ebay actuators ? are they any good or there is much difference with the ~50usd oem one?
Regards
