Intermittent Problem- Radio Buttons do not respond and Alarm not shutting off
Hello, this is my first post. I'm remotely troubleshooting daughter's 2010 Accord (V6 )while she is away at college. Out of no where, she reported radio buttons not responding. Only the Power button and volume responded. It went away over night. I' searched internet and many say pressing on dash may solve for intermittent connections. Has not reoccurred since first reported(2 days). Next day she reports that getting out of the car after driving the alarm went off while she was getting out out of car. She had problems getting alarm to silence. PAnic button would not work. She started engine and that did not work. After several seconds she finally got it to silence by pressing unlock on remote. After she went to class she came back out and called me. When she started, the car the alarm went off but she was quickly able to silence. I called my normal mechanic here in Richardson, TX and he said he would start looking for low voltage. Start at battery cables and alternator. Seems reasonable however wondering if someone can confirm how low voltage may be contributing. I'll likely have her take to a shop but I'd like to have a good idea of the issue to insure it gets addressed properly. I'd work on it myself if it were accessible. Not new to forums but new to this one. I did search before I posted but could not get anything that resembled my issues. I feel certain that I will get additional phone calls in the future so trying to get ahead of the problem.
I though of having her to ge get battery tested, although last time I had oil change, the Firestone showed that battery test good..
