Default Have you bought from AMR recently?

Hello folks

I am a Danish guy, working on a Civic eg. Getting ready for some Clubrally (a bit like autocross).

Next up on my schedule is Suspension. I have read a lot of good things about AMR, but also bad things.
Has anyone dealt with them recently? How is service now?

Many thanks

Dude gets mad when people reverse charges? Well if you can't meet the demand why bother.

Yes, I know about his bad service over the years.
But again, the man has an excellent product, so it would be nice to hear from recent buyers, if anything has changed.

I'm on an edge. I think I wanna give it a chance. I can always get the money back if I pay via PayPal.

read the last page. I posted that specific thread because it’s current. Seems like he’s still up to the same Shenanigans. It’s unfortunate because it seems like they *mostly* have a great product when you can get a hold of them. But what happens when you buy that great product and a couple years down the line you need one serviced? If you can’t get that service then the parts are just as garbage as some toss away eBay parts. If it’s your street car, you’re down until you get your work done. If it’s your race/track car, your event is cancelled and you’re done until you get a hold of him. I’m tempted to buy from time to time but it’s just too much of a gamble. Too bad, really.

Maybe look into a similar alternative from a more reputable company:

You are right. This is an asphalt rally car, so I can't wait 6 months or so for an essential unique part only provided by AMR. Thank you for putting it in black and white for me.
Shipping from US to EU can be as low as a few days by plane. But if I have to wait for him to manufacture a batch of my exact need, plus the long response time the has. Then I'm better of having 5% lesser fun at track with a different setup, then no fun at all.

I have an other option. Which is BR racing ER series. I have read a lot of good things about this. This coilover is also adjustable in height without preloading springs.

What other options like this is out there?

Strange Engineering is a very reputable company and they make a set for Honda Civics. I've seen them on drag cars...maybe they would also work for a rally car with the right spring combination?

Progress Suspension may be another option for you.

They have a CS2 and a CS3 adjustable damping version now. Reasonably priced and been around a long time.

I haven't tried multiple suspension brands to compare, but I have Progress CS2's now on my turbo Civic and I like them. I have had them on for somewhere around 6-8 months, so I can't give a good review on durability, but so far so good. The price was definitely right.
