Seat belt chime stuck on 2007 Civic Si
I bought this car about a week ago and after I bought it the Seatbelt chime would start going off constantly while I'm driving. (I always wear my Seatbelt) I took it to a Honda dealership to look at it, and they want to replace the entire Seatbelt assembly for 500$. I think they're trying to get one over on me because I'm almost positive that the issue is either the sensor, or the wiring for just the buckle. I think that this could be solved by just having the buckle replaced. What are you guy's thoughts? I talked to my usual mechanic about it and he thinks they're trying to **** me over as well.
I thought seat belt components were covered for life unless they were obviously tampered with or intentionally destroyed... maybe another member here who works for a Honda Stealership might chime in to confirm.
