Default 2002 DC5R 6th Gear Lockout Issue

Hello everyone, I drive a CW 2002 Honda Integra Type R DC5. As of lately, I've been permanently locked out of my 6th gear. It happened one night after doing a pull in 2nd gear and mis-shifting 3rd, after I missed 3rd I gave up on the pull and just put it in 3rd, then 4th then 5th, as I was going to go into 6th it was like hitting a wall. I put it back in 5th and tried 6th again, wall. The car hasn't let me into 6th gear for over a week now. Today I did some diagnosing and took the airbox off as it sits directly over the transmission shifter bracket/cables. I tried shifting the car through all the gears by the bracket and it went 1-5 just fine (engine off) but would not do 6th. I then disconnected the shifter cable linkage altogether and tried shifting the car manually with the bracket and still would not go in. I'm wondering if it is possibly a bent selector fork perhaps but I cannot be sure. Again gears 1 through 5 have no issues whatsoever, it is only 6th that feels like hitting a wall. I have also tried double clutching the car into 6th gear and that does not work as well. There is no grind on the gear when I try 6th it just will not go in. Does anybody have any ideas as to what to do to diagnose the issue/have any personal experience that might lead me towards what the problem may be?

Thank you.

Does the transmission grind going into reverse ? How about 5th gear ? This sounds like your issue is the 5/6 synchro slider... it is burred so badly on the 5th gear side that the slider will not pass through the hub to lock up 6th gear.

Gears 1-5 feel the same as always, reverse doesn’t grind either, just locked out of 6th for what seems like permanently since directly after that 2-3 miss. I’m wondering about selector fork but just trying to gather data

Regardless of the solution, data isn't going to fix it. Time for you remove the transmission and crack it open... then you will know whether it is a damaged fork as you have suggested or a hub/slider issue as I proposed.
