Default F22 compatibility

I have a 97 accord with a F22B2 that's blown up, I can get a F22A1 for $100. is there any real issues or problems making the A1 work, or would I be better off finding a newer F22

For an easy swap get find another F22Bx or F23a. The F22A series has different ports, exhaust manifold, intake manifold, etc that will make swapping engines a lot more involved.

Also the differences between the OBD1 and the OBD2 PGM-FI sensors and their locations/wiring harness.

Agreed with the above. The savings by using that motor will cost you more in everything else you will need to make it work.

Here's an F22b2 on Ebay

Yeah, it's $500, but it's exactly what you need, just swap it in and be done.

There are very detailed write ups available online if you search. The 94-97 5 speed swap is very well documented. The hardest part is actually finding the parts you need. I did mine over 8 years ago and parts were getting scarce even then. If you have any reasonable amount of mechanical knowledge the swap itself is very easy.

I have a 4th Gen Prelude with a F22B. Finding very difficult to get a re-build kit.
What is the best engine to swap without changing wire harness and ECU?
Can find H23 engines bit easily here.

Another F22B, but depending on what region you are the F22B could be a F22B1 or the DOHC F22.

If you have the DOHC F22B then the H23 is probably the closest engine to it.
Verify port locations are the same.

Hi, Thank you very much.
Is F23A1 a single cam one? I'm thinking of going for same dual cam option.
