B16A swap, high idle
Hey guys, I searched around for a few days but haven't been able to find a solution to my problem. I just finished swapping a JDM B16A (second gen) into my bone stock '90 CRX DX. Running a PR3 ECU. The swap went pretty smooth and just fired it up but I am having issues with the idle. The car is at a constant high idle around 2,000 rpm. It stays constant at 2,000 from cold start up to operating temp. There are no CELs. I checked for vacuum leaks, I bled the cooling system, cleaned the FITV and IACV, no luck. I pulled the intake tube off and noticed the upper of the two ports inside of the throttle body is pulling in air, on cold start and warm. When I cover the hole with my finger the idle drops down to maybe 1000-1200 rpm. This means the IACV is unnecessarily allowing air past the throttle plate for some reason. I replaced the IACV with a brand new one and still having the problem. So my ECU must be telling IACV to stay open. I thought maybe a faulty coolant temp sensor would make the ECU think the car is cold, so checked resistance on the sensor and it's within specs, and the wires to the ECU have continuity and are providing voltage to sensor. Im wondering if my ECU is the problem? Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
