P07 ecu in 95 LX
5 spd manual died in flight and it turned out to be a bad ecu (water damage in the kick board, that's been fixed). The original ecu is a p06, but I pulled a p07 as a bandaid while we tried to fix the old one (capacitor blew, I have a friend who does circuit board design/repair so we're hoping she can get the original working).
Anyway, the p07 in my car is obviously not working ideally and I'm running rich, losing power, and bucking during shifting along with having a few obd codes. 20, 21, and 41 which from what I can tell are all related to me throwing a vtec ecu into my non vtec engine.
Trying to source a p06 ecu locally, but in the meantime, is there anything I can do to disable vtec on the p07. I've read about people disabling the vtec pressure switch when it's not compatible with their engine, but I don't know if that will even help my issue.
Definitely a longshot, but I just need it to not die on my short drive to work for the next few days. Thanks!
