Default One for the Detectives

My 05 only drives to work and back home (27 miles of interstate and 3 miles at 55 mph.)

Randomly (maybe once a month) it gets hot toward the end of my trip and I lose the ability to accelerate, the car even shutters when I try. The last three times it has done it I pulled over, shut the car off, turned it back on and took off like nothing ever happened. What’s going on? Is this fixable or do I deal with it?

Get the car scanned for any pending or existing trouble codes and post them.

P0344 - Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Intermittent Bank 1 or Single Sensor

Does that tell you anything?

You're gonna want to test for reference voltage at the camshaft sensor connector on the upper timing cover and make sure that harness isn't cut or messed up somewhere. You should get about 5 volts. If you have reference voltage, your camshaft position sensor is likely bad, which is very common. My buddy went through four parts house sensors against my best advice, so please don't skip out on the new one like he did. Just replace it with a Genuine Honda sensor and be done with it.

I don't have the service manual handy at the second or I'd include a screenshot of the sensor's test process, but this should at least put you on the right track.
