So I have a 2005 civic lx 5 speed. I took the non-vtec engine the d17a1 out and I swapped in the vtec engine the d17a2, wire harness and ecu. No spark it just turns over. Is it due to not having the ecu flashed? Engine, ecu, and wireharness came out of a 2002 ex that rotted out but ran mint.

 

If the ignition is original then I'd say it has to be re programmed to match the ecu

 

I swapped ignition and ignition lock (immobilizer) from the car the ecu, engine and engine harness came out of and it fired right up and ran and drove 100% mint. Problem solved thanks for the help tho guys.
