No you don't need internals. You don't need e85 but its good insurance if you can. Either way you need bigger injectors and more fuel pump, go bigger if you are planning on using e85.

It definately depends on the manifold and turbo size...
With a GT2860RS on a cast manifold, no youll break it soon. With a Gt3582 on a ramhorn yes. You need an equalength manifold and turbo on the biggish size, if you want it to last.
Everything can make 300hp for a month or some passes. For me the minimum for a reliable 300 on a b16 that will last 1-2-3+ years is a ramhorn and a gt3076 size turbo.
There was a guy in Greece with a b16 and gt3582 that was like 400-450 for a good 5 years...If you are on the states youd want 93 octane or 100 in EU.

If you go E85 I'd recommend 340 lph pump or bigger and 1000cc injectors. The fuel pumps are really all in the same ballpark price-wise, so I just went with a 450 lph pump for the extra head-room. I'm running a single cam, but for instance, I made 390 whp and was around 85% duty cycle on those injectors, and that was after bumping the base fuel pressure up to 50 psi. As @NVturbo said, you need a good tuner. You can make your goals on a stock engine, but you lose some margin for error by staying stock.

As other have said, you can make that power with stock internals, it’s just more of a ticking time bomb IMO. 1000-1200cc injectors and a good tuner..... no shade tree tuners when going this route

^^^ I concur. lol

that's what I'm using and have no issues....besides the crappy jumper harness but those are likely made by someone else.

ha. Absolutely. Good catch. In my mind that’s the only options, but I forget that it’s not common knowledge

I have run ~305ish hp on a stock b16 for years at autocross and track. I replaced my first b16 in 2017 from normal wear and tear after 12 years of being turbo'd. It can be done with a good tuner and proper cooling. I am running 550CC Precision injectors and a Walbro 255lph pump. But as others have mentioned Bosch injectors would be a worthwhile upgrade.
