B20B VTEC lsd tranny or not?

Default B20B VTEC lsd tranny or not?

So I did some quick research and found out that the s4c tran is a b16b type r trans. Just like wht I was told from the guy who sold me this car. Welp I jacked the car up. Spin one wheel and the other doesn't move at all.... is this open lsd or ls differential?

s4c could also be a em1(US 99-00 SI or CDN 99-00 SIR) without the LSD. The LSD equipped transmissions usually are have "LSD" in big black letters on the case. Other than that were you in gear when turning the wheel? if not put in gear and try again.

yeah I forgot to put it in gear, well I just did and it wasn't lsd (didn't spin the same way) but I also noted that this method doesn't work for torsend lsd... is there any other better way other than taking the tranny apart to see if you have lsd?

Take the axles out and look through the axle holes. If you can see through it, it's an LSD transmission.

Or do a burnout?

If it’s USDM 99-00 it’ll have a vin tag on it. Run the vin number. Or if not there check to see if the holes are threaded or not.
