No manual transmissions in future Accord sedans
I'm a manual transmission fanatic. I even had 2 minivans with them, and a full size Ford Club Wagon van. I heard Honda is dropping the manual transmission option in the Accord sedan, and another model that could be had with a manual transmission will be eliminated entirely in the U.S. - the Fit. If I won the lottery - I would seriously have considered a new Honda Accord Sport sedan with the manual transmission. If I win I guess I'll have to look for a 2020. In the mean time, I'm fine with my 1999 Accord EX 5MT. It just passed emissions and runs fine.
I realize modern automatic transmissions are rated to achieve better fuel economy than manuals. More than once though I have exceeded the EPA ratings on mine.
