F22B2 OBD2 auto to F22B1 OBD1 manual swap assistance!
First off, I've been scouring the forums for a while and have found priceless information every time. I've owned a variety of Hondas and they all served well. Then, i ventured into motor swaps for friends and family. Gotta love Japanese ingenuity! Well, i kept my 97 auto wagon. Transmission is slipping between 3rd and 4th gear shifts, large chunks of metallic debris in fluid. F22B2 in it smokes, and unknown miles on it, it is a junkyard organ. Now, a very crisp running and shifting manual 95 Accord landed in my hands. I have removed motor and transmission, and all associated parts to physically swap in into the wagon. My only concern is wiring harnesses.
1)OBD2 to OBD1 jumper harness to use the 5spd ecm?
2)OBD2 to OBD1 jumper harness for distributor, if using the stock 1997 engine/transmission harness?
3)Remove auto wiring from harness, add Vtec to obd1 ecm?
4)should i use the obd2 harness on obd1 motor?
5)EVAP systems are completely different, do i have to transfer all components from 95 to 97?
I'm pretty confused. Many might say "go do research!!!"... Still not getting a conclusion. Any and all help appreciated! I want to roll in the wagon again.
Thank you

I would think the easiest would be to move over the entire existing wiring harness and simply hook it all up as an OBD-1 system. If emission and all that requires you to keeo the OBD-II, then I would simply bring over the new motor keep the existing OBD-II. Are the engines identical?

Current motor is OBD2 F22B2 automatic
Donor is OBD1 F22B1 manual
I do want to run the motor on OBD1, no emissions problems in my area. I conclude that, i can use original OBD2 harness, use jumper harness for OBD1 distributor, use jumper harness to work with original 1997 wagon wiring harness to body, add wiring at OBD1 manual ecu pins for Vtec and pressure sensor, and all this should work. I'm not wanting to toss money at it for no reason needed. In other words, the stock automatic non-vtec harness should connect to the new manual, OBD1 ecu?? I'm going nuts. ✌
I'm not sure why you would want to run the ODB-II harness at all, just swap over everything, including ECU and then you won't need any of the other OBD-II to OBD-1 items. And no errors then as well since you've basically got it thinking it's still in the 95 chassis. I see no advantage to trying to run OBD-II on the older engine, just asking for more money and no gain.
