Once my engine gets warmed up my engine starts to surge and it feels like air or fuel is getting cut off then suddenly regains it even when I keep constant pressure in the peddle. I've cleaned injectors and I've replaced my fuel pump. I have a check engine light for an exhaust restriction(in my cat) and other things unrelated from the surging. I do not see any leaks. Also I have an aftermarket cold air intake which I'm going to put the stock one back on to see if that's the issue but I haven't had an issue with then before. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Can youput a scanner on it and see what appears to be happening when the "surge" happens? Maybe a fuel pressure drop or an air flow drop, or timing changing?

 

I have a 99 accord but it's a 4 cylinder. It was surging but only at idle or stopped in traffic but was ok as long as I was giving it gas and moving. It turned out to be my idle air control valve. Don't know if yours is the same. I hope this helps.
