Icon5 (Honda Accord 1.8i 2000) Have I read these codes correctly?

Hello all. I have a 2000 Honda Accord 1.8i here in the UK. After driving about 20 minutes and when everything is warmed up the engine will begin to lose power and stutter. Weirdly the engine light will then come on and the car seems to regain power. I don't think my car has a obd2 port so I have read the codes by following a technique I found on Youtube (Link Below). Basically there's a male port under the passengers side that I short with a wire. Codes then read out on the dash with the engine light. I have linked a video below of my car whilst it's reading out the codes. From as far as I can tell the code it's reading just seems to be "1" on repeat. From what research I have done code 1 seems to be HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR A. Have I read this correctly and should just replacing this sensor fix the cars issue? Thanks for your help in advance!

That seems very possible. A bad O2 sensor would cause the car to behave badly, the error comes on and I would presume it then ignores the O2 information, thinking it's failed, and goes into a limp mode where it just reads the pre-mapped defaults for what to do until the O2 gets replaced.

Thanks very much for your input. I think I'll go ahead and order a new o2 sensor for the exhaust.

I would also go ahread and get under there to look at it. Just to make sure the wiring isn't broken, and something else to deal with. Finally, makes sure to rent an O2 sensor socket to remove it, you can't get them out easily with a normal socket, because of the wiring. It will make sense once you see it. It's been too long since I went to the parts store in the UK, but in the US you can get the tool rental for free. it should come with a few variations.

I have the car up on ramps today and I'll start my investigation :D

Ok I have inspected the wiring for both Sensor A and B on the exhaust. Do you reckon it's the pre-catalytic sensor that needs replacing or is it recommended to replace both? I'll research into getting that special socket, I did try with a regular wrench but didn't want to round it off. Would it be ok to soak them both overnight with WD40? I'll post back when I have found replacement sensors online also. Thanks for your help.

Sensor B (Post Cat) Plug

Sensor B (Post Cat) Wire

Sensor B (Post Cat) Wire

Sensor A (Pre Cat) Wire

Sensor B (Post Cat)

I would replace the pre-cat sensor, as that's what's indicated. It's the more important of the two sensors.

FWIW, you did not get an OBDII type system until '00.

I replaced the pre-cat sensor two days ago and the car drives solid now. Didn't need a special tool in the end just a regular 22mm Wrench did the trick. Thanks so much for your input. The next issue I'm trying to tackle is the ABS light. I have no idea what's wrong as when I short the obd1 connector the ABS light just stays a solid light as the engine warning light did read out codes. This isn't a code "0" or something is it? Any ideas would be greatly appropriated.
