With deep regret, it is time to sell my beautiful 1994 Honda Accord SiR as I am moving out of the country in a couple months and must sell all my cars.
I imported this car back in February of this year. I brought it in with 108,137 kilometres; currently the car has 109,624 km, or 68k miles. Pretty much nothing for these legendary cars.
Mechanically: The car was a one-owner car in Japan, and was a condition “4” car when I bought it- pretty much the highest score a car of this age can receive at the Japanese auctions. The car drives absolutely beautiful, with the H22a DOHC VTEC engine revving correctly and producing plenty of power. I recently had it serviced, which included:
-Oil and filter change (using Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil)
-New air filter
-New cabin filter
-4-wheel alignment performed
-A/C serviced
The SiR model was never offered in the U.S, and is the top of the line Accord for its day. The car is equipped with the legendary H22A VTEC engine, which was only available on Japanese market cars. It produces around 200 horsepower and 165 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful 4-cylinder Honda was making on a production car in its day. This is a similar engine to what was put in the Prelude Si VTEC in the U.S, so parts are still easy to get in this country.
Body: is in excellent condition, with the Bordeaux Red Pearl paint (R78P) shining beautifully. This is the best color on these CD6 Accord’s, and it perfectly accentuates the lines of the car. Only a few very minor surface scratches on the rear bumper and some scratches on the passenger side mirror show any imperfections. The car is completely rust-free. Interior: The interior is in like new condition, with the only area of wear being on the top right of the steering wheel exhibiting some peeling. No rips or tears in the seats, the wood trim on the center console is intact, no cracks in the dash, The interior is so original that even the plastic covering the passenger scuff plate has been kept in place! Electronically: Everything works on the car. That includes all 4 power windows, power side mirrors, cruise control, radio, power front seat height adjustment, and all lights. A/C blows ice cold. Only thing that is not working is the LED light on the radio display is not currently showing anything. Radio is the original Alpine unit.
Car has already been fully titled (WA state title) and registered (registration good until April 2021). The car is located in the Los Angeles area. I am asking a very reasonable $8500, but for members of Honda-Tech I am offering this ultra-rare Honda at just $8000. This is a private party sale.
For out-of-town buyers, I will assist in arranging the shipping for buyer. Thank you for looking at my ad, please feel free to ask my any questions.

Thanks for the kind words. A 5-speed swap would probably be ideal. Other than that, I'd probably prefer to keep it stock- but that's at the new owners discretion.
I concur..soooooooo bad it's not a 5 speed..I wonder why the radio icons are not Japanese?
If it was a 5-speed the price would be more around $12k. 5-speed command a very large premium over the autos, so much so that many people in Japan simply buy the autos and do the manual swaps themselves since it's much more cost efficient.
In response to your other question, pretty much all controls in a Japanese car will be in English. That includes radio, cruise control, lights, etc. Only JDM car I ever had with a button marked in kanji was my 89 Crown Royal, something about the GPS system.
