2007 accord AC woes.
Last week the AC stopped working. We took it the dealer. They said they needed to shim the compressor clutch and replace the AC compressor clutch relay as a preventative measure.
we ok the work and got the car back. However the next day the battery was dead.
i jumped the battery, went for long run, kept AC off, checking under the hood after the run multiple pipes were iced up - I.e. the compressor was on even though the AC was off.
battery died the next day too
we took it back to dealer and they now say:

we took it back to dealer and they now say:
- the relay is fused
- this was caused by ac coil drawing too much current
- that it has likely damaged the PCM
- they said they did not measure excessive draw, that that can’t be measured, but they know it’s true because the resistance in the coil is high (this smells of BS to me as the could replace the relay, fire up system, and measure excessive current).
- they want ~$2.2k to replace the coil and pcm (on top of the work they already did for shim and unneeded replacement of original relay)
