I'm having a problem with the front passenger floor carpet getting wet, usually happens in constant heavy rain. I live in NC (max humidity), car usually sits in shade (temps have constantly been 90-100 lately), gets driven the least.
Today when I went to drive it I noticed for the first time a bunch of mold spots forming on the steering wheel (made sure to disinfect and dry it) The front passenger floor was somewhat wet, around the edges rather than the center of the foot area.
A few things to note:
-No coolant leaks
-New windshield, new windshield seal
-A/C drain pipe appears to be working, water drips out of the pipe under the hood. The plastic drain collector underneath the glovebox appears sealed, no water leaks onto floor
-Door seals on all 4 doors appear fine, no tears or missing pieces. Body frame where doors shut appear smooth and uniform, no dents or debris along the frame
-Trunk seal appears to be good as well
-The "gutter" or whatever it's called that runs along the front of the windshield has been cleaned out of any debris (there was minimal prior to cleaning it out). The hole on the passenger side where air gets pulled in appears empty and clean, no debris in the blower motor.
If the rain is nonstop for several days the front passenger floor will get soaked and the water does not collect anywhere else. I have run a hose over the windshield, over the door seals, nothing indicates water leaking inside. Is it possible that water is still somehow getting through the blower motor vent or is there any chance that the leak is coming from the passenger fender through the car?
