91 civic overheating problems
Hey guys, I can't find a specific answer to this question. I own a 91 Civic Lx. Was on a long drive and noticed my temp gauge increasing. Once I got home I noticed a bad top hose and replaced the bottom hose and thermostat as well. Which didn't help.
Long story short but it did it again and I noticed the radiator fan never kicked on. So, I replaced the thermostat switch below the dizzy, radiator, cap, and radiator fan. Got a volt meter and tested all the connections for power, which I have to all the sensors for the connections. Did a compression test and got 150 in each cylinder and the timing belt/water pump was done 35k miles ago. no leaks or issues otherwise.
I was driving home yesterday and noticed the radiator fan only kicks on when the car is boiling over, I don't understand why? It cools it back down I feel like i have tested everything and can't pin point why its so delayed on the fan kicking on, only when boiling over.
Thanks!
