Default Advice on broken tranny alignment dowels?

So I've been working on doing the clutch in an 05 civic with d17a1 in it.

I just figured out today when putting the tranny back on that one of the dowel pins was completed warped and whoever owned the car before me just cut the other one completely in half and left it in the block.

my question is how should I go about replacing both dowels if I cant get either out? I've tried heating them up, used vice grips, (some meat head even told me) use a nail punch to bend it, and I still cant get either out.

Would it be worth it get a smaller diameter pipe and fit in through the original dowels but keep them longer to better support the tranny???
