Default What part is this?... called?

Ok so the person I bought my 99 prelude base model ... wasn’t very smart or handy in the mechanical area and has this prelude running like crap stripped out screws on the valve cover and has broken a piece off of the engine that the distributor and selenoid bolt up to what I need to know is the this piece that’s broke off coming off the engine does anyone no what it’s called or how I can replace it and cost or if it’s even that important? Here’s a picture...

Cam cap, they are matched to the head.

If it is working, leave it alone. Looks like there is still enough meat there to keep things held together.

well thank u so much for getting back to me that’s awesome !, I’m glad and yes it is still hanging in there so I should be ok ..since there are other bolts as well.

I agree if its working and not leaking or leading to any other issues I would definitely just leave it alone. But keep an eye on it still
