95 Prelude - fog lamps - what relay do I need?
I read up a great guide on installing JDM fog lamps on a 4th gen Prelude. One of things it stated was the need to get a 12V 4-prong relay.
I asked for one at Autozone and the guy's response was; "so what do you need it for?"
"Fog lamps for a Honda Prelude" I replied.
"We don't stock any Honda relays" he answered.
So from that I am guessing a 12V 4-prong relay is not enough of a description to find a relay that will work. Does anyone know an exact part number from Honda or anyone else that would fit. I'd prefer to have this in hand before pulling out the air duct that I believe I have to remove to gain access to where the relay should go.
Thanks

Yep ^^^ You need any 30/40 amp single throw relay. Pins 85 and 86 are your control, power and ground, either can be a switched circuit. Positive and ground and can be on either 85 or 86 doesn't matter. 87 will be your high current input and 30 is your output
Thanks guys . I picked up a relay using the codes @tech8 shared. Now I need to find the time to crawl up under the dash and fit the thing. After that I'll need to wire the JDM switch into the center console.
If they stayed true to form, should be a quick plug and play on the wiring for the correct year switch. My 93 had the tweeter cover switch, and the wiring was right there ready to plug in.
