Default 96-00 Civic

I bought a 1996 civic hatchback with a d16y7 I believe have to double check it, it doesn’t have an intake manifold it just has the big air box. I also have a 1998 civic EX coupe with a D16A swap. I want to swap the D16A into the hatch but I want to know if I have to do extra wiring for the manifold or how does this work. This will be my first swap ever so be easy on me guys.

Start by carefully reading through the sticky threads that cover various aspects of engine swaps.

If the D16A is vtec yes you have to.
If you're swapping everything over from the EX yes you have to.
