So I purchased a Frankenstein ef hatch with a B20 swap already in and running strong I did a full rebuild and dropped the motor back in and she started and runs fine, however it has a check engine light and the car has been converted to obd1 from rywire. I tried the paper clip thing with the little blue plug on the passenger side foot well area, I got zero response from the light. What I mean is once I put the paper clip in I turned the key to position 2 and the light didn’t blink or even flash it stayed on fully. I’ve lost my mind trying to figure this out I was told that the rywire harness has its own check engine plug but where is it and how do I find it?

 

You can give +12V power to pin D4 on the OBD1 ECU (use the ECU side of the jumper harness). This should be a brown wire on the chassis harness. If you still have a solid CEL, it likely means the ECU is bad.
