Hello guys,
I noticed that on 5th gen accords, the engine wiring harness does not run all the way to the ECU like on my 6th gen. There are plugs on the firewall and that separate harness eventually runS to the ECU.
When converting a 5th gen automatic to a manual, do I need just the engine bay engine wiring harness from an MT car or do I also need that separate harness that runs from the shock towers to the ecu?
Thank you all.

Swapping to manual you don't need to change harnesses at all. You can just tape up and secure the AT plugs on the engine harness or cut them out of the harness entirely.

In such case I would get just the engine harness from the donor car?
The harness that runs from the shock towers then into the car seems to be tedious to remove.
This is what I had seen from a online tutorial but since I have a whole car to pick parts from I thought I would swap harnesses for a cleaner install.

You will have a problem,I tried it before, everything will plug in like original excepted the front fuse box, it has a big plug tht cannot fit to your manual engine harness,I try to start it but doesn't crank at all
