Hello everyone,

Has anyone installed Spec-D Tuning Halo LED headlights on a 2000 Honda Civc EX before? The wiring videos on their website Spec-D installation are great but I do not know what color wire is the power wire.
Does anyone have a circuit / wiring diagram for a 2000 Civic EX?
If anyone has installed these headlights did they wire the LED to the car headlight power wire or the running light/turn signal power wire?

There are multiple power wires....

edit: also you just remove your old headlight, install new one, and plug up the harness they provide.

 

Thank you for your reply. I did try googling for diagrams, videos, etc but regrettably was unsuccessful if finding specific information on these headlights and the 2000 Honda Civic EX.
You are correct, I can just plug in the harness they provide, however, the 3 separate LED lights in the headlight have bare wires that need to be hooked to a power wire.

 

They probably left those wires for the LEDS bare so you have the option of wiring it when the headlights are turned on or when the parking lights are turned on.

To wire them when the headlights are turned on, the power wire on the left is Red/Yel and the power wire on the right is the Red/Wht.

You are correct, the 3rd video from Spec-D Tuning does show how to wire the LED lights, regrettably, I was hoping to find out which one of the wires on the parking lights was the power wire since I do not have a voltmeter. Maybe there is a circuit diagram out there?
It makes sense that the red/grn and yel/red wires on the headlight connector would be the low or high (which one?). Just not sure if the blk/red or grn/red on the parking light is the power wire.

 

LEFT --> Red/Grn (high) & Red/Yel (low)

RIGHT --> Red/Wht (low) & Red/Blu (high)

PARKING --> Red/Blk

LOL Maybe, but my son (11yrs) picked them out and he likes them so I think we will keep them

 

Must you purchase the LED headlights separately or do they come with the housing?

those are pretty cool! I wonder if that 'strip' is actually an LED. Turns out the ones I bought only have 2 LED lights on the very top left and there rest are all incandescent lights. Oh well, I guess that is why it was only $120 on Amazon Live and learn

 

Ok to bring this all full circle I wired all the white lines together (power) and black wires together (ground) then wired the ground to the engine ground and the white power to the running light's power (red/blk) and it WORKED! I know this may make all the real mx people cringe but this was my first time, sorry.


Here is the finished product! (well almost, still need to do the right side this weekend).


Oh Xmas, I forgot to take the plastic protective cover off, sorry everyone. Turns out only the upper 2 lights on the left are LED, the rest are incandescent, oh well, live and lean.
