Caliper piston not moving inside
Hello
Was all happy today in doing complete rotors and pad break job on an Accord 2005. Seems there was a lack of brake maintenance, but anyhow on the first wheel, the piston decided to play tricks on me.... it won't retract back inside.
I can turn the piston clockwise but it results in no sliding movement. However, if I turn it counter-CW, the piston moves forward (towards me) and same if I press the break pedal.
So it seems something prevents it to move inwards.
Tried compressing it with the tool but it doesn't want to move either.
Anyone can help in explaining what is causing this and if it either needs rebuild /replacement ?
Thanks!

Yes sorry I should've stated it was a rear caliper.
I gave it already like 20 full turns. Does it really need that much ?
Trying to find caliper internal diagrams to understand what is the effect of twisting.

Check your parking brake mechanism, it may be partially applied or stuck. The piston moves when twisted because of the parking brake mechanism actually. There is a cam type groove cut into the outside wall of the piston (internally) and the parking brake lever has a pin that it rides in it.
Try actuating the lever on the caliper on and off, maybe even turning the piston while doing so.

Appreciate the feedback guys.
Indeed it just needed LOTS of push and twist and it managed to go in.
@Accordian47 This is very good information about the parking brake mechanism too, thanks !
