Default Am I at top dead center?

Hi guys, I’m in the middle of replacing my timing belt and wanted to check and see if I’m at tdc. It looks pretty close to me but I just wanted another pair of eyes since I’ve read it’s important. Thanks!

Not even close... your exhaust cam gear is retarded one tooth advanced (rotate the gear one tooth counter-clockwise to correct) and the intake camshaft is advanced one tooth (rotate the gear clockwise to correct)... assuming that the crankshaft gear is set at TDC when you took these photos. Remember that there are markings on both sides of the cam gears... so you should be able to draw an imaginary line across all four marks when in proper mechanical time. You can check with a straight edge to be sure.

Thank you. So I just take off the timing belt and move the gears to the correct positions as long as the crankshaft gear is lined up
