6th Gen Body Question : Front bumper skin boltable between 98-2002?
Hey, I have a question for you 6th Gen Accordians.
A friend of mine damaged her 2001 Coupe front / rear bumper in the rain. They're damaged visually (a spin) but no actual structural damage. Anyway, I found a guy with a 2000 front coupe bumper in the same color. He says that it WILL NOT bolt up correctly to the 2001 mount points. Is this true? Was there a minor front fascia change that I'm not aware of? Or is he mistaken? Thanks!

it will fit, there are several guys at v6accord.com that have done it. They say the mounts are a little different but w/minor alteration will fit.
Yeah you can do it but you will have to drill a couple of holes. very easy for anyone with a little bit of mechanical inclination.
correct assumption. you can really get away without doing it. tehy are the same on the top. it's just the bottom thats different. i haven't had clips on the bottom of mine in quite some time, so you don't really need them.
the grille would line up tho'
01-02 have mold in grille thing..
and there a piece of fat *** metal there for support..
I guess you can try it.
