B16a ek civic swap won’t crank
I have swapped a rebuilt JDM b16a into a 97 ex civic, currently I am in the break in process, I have oil added to the motor and I’m trying to crank it to lubricate everything before starting. I have the wire harness, battery, and ecu hooked up. The cars lights, dash, car sounds, and everything comes on but when I turn the key more nothing happens besides a ticking sound coming from my fuse box under the hood. I have no idea why it won’t crank at all?
if anyone could help me out I’d be thankful

Might help, but it may not.
Have someone tap the starter when you try and start it. It worked on alot of old school cars in helping to determine if the starter is ticking and the internals are engaging.
Just a suggestion.

If no joy, check whether the starter solenoid gets battery voltage with the key in ON(III) and the clutch pedal depressed.
