So the other day I pulled the starter that seemed to be having problems and cleaned up a few connections on my sisters boyfriends car(99 accord lx) and it fired right up for me, the next day he took it to work and told me that he got in and turned the key to turn it on and nothing happened no starter click or anything. So he said it took him like 3 tries and he finally outta nowhere got it to fire up randomly and said it did the same thing when it got home, so last night I took the car out and this morning when I went to start it It had nothing. Won't crank at all starter doesn't click but I can hear a faint click behind the dash. Also all lights and power to accessories dies when u turn the key like they should but nothing other than that faint click behind the dash. Any suggestions?

 

First guess is starter or solenoid. You could test this by getting to the starter and tapping on it a few times to see if it will start up while someone turns the key. Or tapping on the solenoid.

You could also have a loose/bad ignition. This might sound silly, but literally jiggle the key while inserted and see if it suddenly starts. If so, replace the ignition.

Already had the starter pulled and tested and it tested good, I'm leaning towards the ignition switch

 

Great, at least it's fairly easy to test if it fails.
