Default 1991 Honda sedan OBD0 code 9 sputtering at 2k

Friend asked me to look as his 91 civic sedan with b18, The car is throwing a Code 9 (Cylinder Postion Sensor). Car was originally DPFI and was converted to MPFI by previous owner (but was never done correctly). The car was never running on 4 cylinders ever since I had met my friend so I offered to look at it. I pulled the engine harness out and laid it on my work bench, was tracing wires and injectors were not in correct order correlating to ecu pins nor did it have a resistor box. I had put injectors in correct order and added a resistor block off plug now it doesn’t misfire but will sputter from wot . I traced both Blue/Green and Blue/Yellow wires from dizzy to C1 and C2 at ecu (both are in correct location). The car will rev smooth after 2k RPM but still doesn’t like WOT reactions. I’m Not sure what injectors I have, I checked resistance and they read 2 ohms. I heard that is resistance reading for peak and hold injectors. And I was told I need saturated injectors. THANKS !

are you running obd1 injectors or obd2?
obd1 are the ones you want
92-95 civic ones work great

or are you runing the obd0 injectors off the 90-91 integra?

the 92-95 dont need the resister box
and the 90-91 integra do need a resister box

I believe they are OBD0 because of the style clip. But would that cause a code 9 for cyp ?

The CYP wires should be shielded (both in the engine harness and chassis harness) to protect them from electrical noise. If the wire is picking up noise it may cause the ECU to throw a CEL.

Honda used the same clip on OBD0 and OBD1, resistance is the way to tell. You are correct that low impedance is peak-hold. From your description it seems you now have the correct injector setup.

Installed OBD 1 injectors and then used OBD0- OBD1 jumper harness with p28 ecu. Car ran great no problems. Just needs tune
