My cruise control hasnt worked since i bought it, After a few long drives recently I would really like to see it fixed. Its a 94 Del Sol VTEC with a B16a3, its all factory and stock, So should be easy enough to trouble shoot if I can find the wiring diagram to find out where the issue is.

There is a troubleshooting section for cruise control in the service manual - this will help tremendously with diagnosis in tandem with the diagram.

 

It's also possible that a previous owner removed the CC system.

If not, OP should start by checking some basic items:
1) Does CC switch light illuminate when pressed?
2) Does CC light in cluster illuminate when attempting to set the speed.
3) Did the rubber stopper that contacts the CC switch on the brake or clutch pedal break and fall out?

 

from just a quick visual inspection, the unit is there in the engine bay, didnt see anything loose. The button on the dash to "activate" the unit does not light up, its a 26 year old car, so I didnt know if the light was just out, but while pressed down, still not able to "set" the cruise control. The cluster light does not turn on either.

 

Check whether the main switch connector has 12V with key in ON(II).
